He has a new hero now. He watched with growing interest the election campaign from the day the nomination papers were filed to it's climax - the swearing in ceremony. He was in awe of every aspect of the new PM, right from the way he talked to the media to the way he conducted his campaign.
He was convinced of the parallels in both his and his hero's lives - both of them were born in the same town exactly 25 years apart. He now heads the school's debating society that was founded by the new PM. He flirted with the idea of changing his stream from science to commerce like his hero. He was thinking of a compelling reason to convince his parents for this volte face.
He was confident that both he and the country had turned a new chapter.
